An update regarding the funding of Subject Knowledge Enhancement (SKE) courses for Design and Technology (D&T): The Department for Education (DfE) will only fund D&T SKE courses when the ITT offer was made by 10th April 2024.
D&T SKE
The Design & Technology SKE (D&T SKE) course contains a range of online resources and comes with live tutor support, including one to one sessions online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
As part of their experience on the D&T SKE course, trainees look at how new technologies are influencing culture and take a closer look at the new/emerging systems as well as production techniques and investigating the different characteristics of various materials.

Extended access to the course material
SKE students continue to have access to our online resources for 1 year after completing the course, so that they can refer to the online material as they train to become a teacher. Previous students have found this extremely helpful when lesson planning in their first placement school as well as having a valuable relevant source of information to refer back to as and when required.
