Biology, Chemistry and Physics are all eligible subjects in that they attract funding from DfE for both programme funding and the training bursary.
We recognise that there will inevitably be crossover content, and so if you were enrolled onto a Biology SKE course, you might need some help with chemistry e.g. in order to understand the chemical reactions in respiration and photosynthesis. You might also need help with understanding electricity, when studying nerves or how the heart beats. Our expert tutors are practising science teachers and will be able to help you navigate this on the SKE course.
We encourage our students to develop their reflective skills and give them room for personal development
We have expanded the content on all 3 of the science SKE subjects (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) and offer the full range of SKE course lengths, from 8 to 28 weeks in length.
